of silence, and clear skies to see for ever? Where are you going
to find that in the big city?
Wild Horse Acres offers you the ability to build a ranch home for
yourself by right. The difference between building a house in the
big city and building a house on Wild Horse Acres is the required
permit. On Wild Horse Acres, all one needs to do is bring the
carpenters. By
code, one has a right to build on this property.
But, besides the ability to build a house on the property, one
can build the house their way on the property. This includes a
house made of rocks, glass, plastic, steel, or any other material
which may meet ones fancy. Another possible type of structure is
and underground house. This type of house is quite common in
Nevada. It offers extreme privacy in addition to great
insolation.
For people with breathing problems like allergies, Wild Horse
Acres could be one of the best places on earth. There is no large
industrial city to the west so the gas fumes can migrate over the
property. But even more so is that lack of male foliage. In urban
cities in the United States, the government mandated the use of
male plants to curtail the spread of nonindigenous plants. There
is only one problem, urban cities are now inundated with plant
pollens. Odd as it sounds, wild lands natural plant distribution
is mostly female plants. So, at Wild Horse Acres, allergies are
less of a problem.
Another consideration that not many people give consideration to
is static electricity. In big cities and even large scale
agricultural areas the general surrounding becomes charged.
Particulates rubbing together and chemicals interacting create a
static charge that has a long term affect on people. The affect
can alter both your physical health and mental well being.
Still another consideration about Wild Horse Acres is the safety
of not being in an area that can be hit by terrorists. San
Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Boston and the like are pron to
terrorist attacks. These places can easily have a nuclear weapon

there is nothing there to draw that type of event. It is

And, even another consideration. Because you will not be forced
to build a home which looks like the others in the area. You can
build a brick home with steel studs and roof so the home will not
be lost to a fire. In heavily wooded areas like forests or even
areas like southern California where the brush is built up, a
range fire can easily destroy even a brick and steel building
because it gets extremely hot. As you can see from the picture,
Wild Horse Acres is not forested nor has a huge brush build up,
thus, a small surface fire line around a brick home and your
house will not burn to the ground. Your life, mementos, and
family will be safe from fires.
Lots of super star celebrates have homes in remote areas just to
get away from the general population. A nice thing about this
land is that one could land a large plane on it without even
making a runway in the summer. Admittedly, in the winter, it
would be nice to have a runway. The point being, there is enough
room to land and take off a 747 if one wanted to. Then Reno
Nevada is only 80 miles south on a lightly traveled road, and
they land 747s there all the time.
Yes, for a writer, programmer, musician, actor, sports star,
retired person, or for a real vacation home away from the crowd,
Wild Horse Acres is a perfect location you. To leave the rat race
of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Detroit, or, Berlin, London,
Moscow, and Tokyo for health, mental well being, and may be being
self employed, Wild Horse Acres would be great for you. If you
want to be close to people, bars, stores, hear cars, big rigs,
the squeal of breaks, solicitors buggin you all the time, jet
planes flying overhead, sucking in pollens and gas fumes, plus
being in a high risk area for terrorist attack, well then may be
not. At Wild Horse Acres you can listen to quiet, smell fresh
air, see clear skies, taste the zest of live, be in touch with
nature, raise horses, and ride for miles.

Ranching
Wild Horse Acres is obviously range land suitable for a horse and
or cattle ranch. As a cattle ranch, the BLM
land could be leased for grazing.

Farming
Farming is easily another possibility. Alfalfa grows on this
land. Alfalfa sells at about $2,200 per acre. There are many
other types of crops you can grow. Grapes will grow in the area
too. Grapes are a cash crop for California. The land is flat and
easily plowed. The land is zone for farming and you can grow what
ever you want that will grow there. There are not a lot of people
to get upset by engineered crops which could be a very big
benefit. Water is by well.

Home Building
You could build a house every year for many years. It is possible
you could get 16 building sites to qualify as building by right.
Sell the second house for aprofit. Build another house and sell
it the next year and so on. However, if you were to build in the
flat lands, you would have to account for the occasional high
water flooding like they do in Florida and other southern states.
With a little map subdivision of some parcels, and paying for
permits, it would be possible you could even be able to build
more than 16 houses.

Dude Ranch
You can start a dude ranch. And, you could start this dude ranch
by right. As the governments wild horse facility is only 3 miles
south on Highway 395, you could get good deals on horses. Have
people come out for a week or two and do nothing but ride the
range. The government provides 1.2 million acres to ride horses
on. In addition you have great old style type roads to have the
traditional hay rides on.
Spanish Springs is a dude ranch about 20 miles north. This is a
nice spot too. Spanish Springs is in mountainous terrain with
some Juniper Trees around. However, the operators of Spanish
Springs come down to BLM land and use the government land for
trail drives, and the such.
This property has many places to ride a horse. One could
theoretically ride a horse all the way to Utah.

Drug and Alcohol
Rehabilitation Facility
Another great use is a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility.
Dry them out literally in the summer. Being remote there are few
neighbors to complain. Wild Horse Acres is 9 miles form any store
to buy drugs or alcohol. No one will simply walk to the store,
reducing temptation.

Mobile Home / Trailer
Park
Wild Horse Acres would make a great mobile home / trailer park
too. The land is cheap and there is lots of land to park on. A
mobile home park would require permits. However the local economy
would welcome such a mobile home and/or a trailer park. The
eastern end is a classical area for such use. People would like
to say they live at the California Crossroads of the Oregon
Trail. The south western area would be another good place as it
is on a rise and has direct access to Highway 395. What the heck,
you could have a trailer park in one area and a mobile home park
in another area.
The towns folk some 26 miles away are not all that thrilled to
have spouses and other relatives who have relations with the
actual inmates of the California State Prison some 13 miles west
of Wild Horse Acres. The guards and support personnel are welcome
but not so much the relitives of the inmates. This is a huge
potential population resource for a mobile home / trailer park.
These people have a tendency not to have a lot of money so a
cheap residents would be welcome. They have to live somewhere.
And generally speaking, they expect to be moving away some day so
a temporary location would suit them best.
Yes, you could make money operating a trailer and or mobile home
park on Wild Horse Acres. And, your residents could keep horses
too. Along with a heck of a golf course or an air port.

Ground
Along with a mobile home park, Wild Horse Acres would make a
classic place for a camp ground. Advertising Wild Horse Acres as
a Camp Ground on the historic Oregon Trail has an edge in
marketing. People been camping around this area in excess of 175
years. How many camp grounds in California can claim that?

Rock Concert or
Country and Western Concert
This isn't what one would call a classical use for land but it is
a viable option which could pay for the land in one use. It is
for sure a valid possibility. The US festival and Woodstock were
held on property less suited for such an event as Wild Horse
Acres. The flats during August and September would support
thousands of cars parked on it. Access to the parking lot would
be right off the main highway. The eastern section could have a
stage put up.
Loud...how loud can you get? 120 dbm no problem. Neighbors will
not complain because there are no neighbors.

Burning
Man
This site has had very informal negotiations for moving the
Burning Man to this location. However, there is quite a lot of
vegetation which could burn. As such, it is not all that good of
idea. But this property is only 50 west of the Burning Man event
on Smoke Creek Ranch Road.

500 Nations Wild Horse
Contest
The Burning Man event was mentioned to set up this use. Burning a
fire in the wind is not really a good idea for this area.
However, events similar to the Burning Man can be a good use for
this area. Creating an event as the gathering of many of the 500
indigenous American peoples for a contest and cultural exchange
would be an ideal use for Wild Horse Acres. Wild Horse Acres is
close enough to an international airport with reasonable
transportation to the site, yet remote enough to give the
impression of the wild west.
For one month out of the year when the land is hard enough to
support 100,000 cars and a whole lot of people, you could pay for
the land and make a healthy profit all in the first year. Burning
Man charges $300 per person for a week. They take 2 weeks to set
up and 1 week to break down. We were told that the government
charges $600,000.00 for the organization running Burning Man for
the use of the property for the event. Between 10,000 and 20,000
people pay to attend Burning Man. You could get the same amount
of attendance for an event with such cultural significance as the
500 Nation Wild Horse Contest. The possibilities are enormous.
Post crispy barbecued men and French fried women, razzle dazzle and all, No Fooling.
Post this dissertation, I got serious. The following names have been procured to support the idea. They may not be trademarked names, but they are registered for then couple of years any way.
It slices, it dices, it breaks every bone in a man's body. All be it stupendous, the miraculous, the greatest race on earth, the 500 Nations Wild Horse Contest; it really don't matter! The nations, 500 nations, no nations, just WILD HORSE CONTEST, the horses don't care.

Large Scale Commercial
Uses
For Wild Horse Acres
This property lends itself to some unique valuable options for
the use of real estate. As it is remote, there will not be many
objections to uses which can cause people to worry about their
health. Alturas Power Transmission Line goes about a mile and a
half over Wild Horse Acres and the Tuscarora Gas Power Pipe Line
goes about a mile and a half through Wild Horse Acres allowing
Wild Horse Acres many industrial possibilities.

Electric Power
Generating Plant
For Wild Horse Acres
Wild Horse Acres is a perfect location for an electric power
generating facility. Wild Horse Acres has both the electric
transmission lines to transmit around 1.5 Gigawatts in either
direction. And Wild Horse Acres has an industrial natural gas
line to power such an electric generation plant. Reno Nevada
wants more power and California wants more power, and even Lassen
County wants more power. So you have customers in the area too.
Typically, power plants are built near people, then the power
company spends tremendous amounts of money convincing people that
such a huge facility isn't going to gas them. This is just save
about 5% of the electricity generated because of transmission
line losses. There wouldn't be this problem at Wild Horse Acres.
Additionally, Wild Horse Acres is already zoned for off premiss
electric power sales. No costs associated with zoning changes.
Just take out a permit, give the count the money of the permit,
and start building.
Other benefits are its size and relative topography. Cooling
doesn't need a huge amount of water because cheap space will do
the job. Being flat and dry most the year, this property can also
be used as a voltaic solar cell location. Furthermore, because of
the remoteness, Wild Horse Acres can be used as both a biomass
and waste conversion facility. Because it is flat, large scale
biomass conversion pools can be built in the ground economically.
And because of it's remoteness, the smell will not be too much of
a consideration. Few will complain that the plastic, nylon, and
rubber cracking plant can harm them.
When you consider that the $0.05/kilowatt-hour wholesale electric
power costs for 3 Gigawatts, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
comes to $1.3 billion dollars makes the land price seem
inconsequential. Reno Nevada uses power all day and all night.
This is another real profitable use for the land. Then have a
trailer park too.

Medical Waste Disposal
Facility
Why people insist on disposing medical waste inside the big
cities is beyond this author. Why people allow such a condition
to exist is also beyond this author. Wild Horse Acres is remote.
Accidents and terrorist activities will not affect a large
population. Although remote, there is an old rail road line that
can be revitalized and access to Reno Nevada, and Susanville rail
yards by Highway 395 make Wild Horse Acres a good place for a
medical waste disposal facility too.

Imagination
For Wild Horse Acres

Aquatorium
Odd as it sounds, there is no such thing as bad land. All land is
valuable if you have the imagination to put it to use.
Here, in the middle of no where, you can dig a hole as deep as
you want, then flood the hole with water from a well. There is a
lot of water underground. There is plenty of power. With a deep
hole, good cement lining, and plenty of water, this place can be
turned into a SCUBA wonderland. No sharks to worry about any way.
Well, as in deep subject, probably not.
The point being that only your imagination limits the uses of
Wild Horse Acres. Also on the same point, this is another good
story.
A preacher was traveling down the road and came across a farmer
tilling the land. The area was beautiful. The farmer had trees
lining the road, the soil was well groomed and the whole placed
looked great. The preacher said to the farmer, "God sure did
bless you with a beautiful farm." The farmer replied, "Yes, and
you should have seen it when he had it all to himself."
Wild Horse Acres has a lot of valuable uses for the land.
